Tom, I could not locate your blog comment about "The Tinder Box" passed onto me by Dan Barnett. So I place this email under Fourth of July. And why not?

Hello Tom,

I am in receipt of your email through the Chico Enterprise Record. Thank you for your comments about “The Tinder Box.”

Just returned from Kellogg, Idaho where I gave a presentation about the book to The Timber Products Manufacturing Association. Duane Vaagan of Vaagan and Associates bought 30 books off Amazon and carried them to Washington DC where he handed them out to the staff of 5 senators and 25 members of the House. Don’t know what will come of it. Probably not much, but there is always hope.

By the way, there were a number of technical errors in the first edition (for example, what a fire management officer’s and helitach leader’s specific duties are) that were corrected in the December edition.

Ken Coffman, publisher of Stairway Press, asserts that every positive review that appears on the Amazon book review section, kicks sales up by 10 to 15 books. Maybe you could purchase one as a gift for friend and write out your thoughts.

I see by your blogsite that you are meticulous in going about recording the events in your life that are truly important for your two boys.

Best wishes, Chris
